The article would also be improved by explaining in more detail where these materials have been used and what (if any) response to their usefulness (maybe include this in the abstract). Are their any plans to continue to curate these materials or are the "done".
I agree with you (Dirk and Lorena) that there should be some statements regarding the context of the project in the field. I'd also like to see something (even brief) regarding how it has been used up until now (pilot audience, adoption, continual updates planned, etc.).
The linked examples are worded in a much better way than parts of the article, which starts off sounding like marketing.
