5. CONCLUSION
One-third of nursing students do not intend to be vaccinated. Concerns
and barriers related to the vaccine included lack of information,
safety, efficacy, and side effects, as well as false beliefs that the
vaccine will transmit viruses and they are used as experiments. HCPs can
encourage individuals to receive vaccines.
Nursing students are known to be
the future HCPs and will play a decisive role in counseling individuals
in the community about the risks of COVID-19 and the benefits of the
vaccine; therefore, focusing on training that is aimed at increasing the
knowledge of vaccines, eliminating their negative attitudes and
concerns, and building confidence in vaccines is necessary. Nursing
students should be encouraged to read scientific research to eliminate
misinformation through social media. Using and following reliable news
sources can build trust in vaccines.
