This data records from 2007 to 2011 people died in NYC for some particular reason and those reasons are classified into groups. Seemingly, the various causes of death are independent to each other and some of them might keep stable in successive years (see figures). However, in terms of mental health, I further explore this data and make an astonished discovery: during those 5 years, mental problems were playing such an important role in causing loss of life, and the number of death caused by them actually ranks among the top ones for this reason.
